Danny Sprinkle (born October 12, 1976) is a former American basketball player and current coach. He is the head coach of the Montana State Bobcats men's basketball team.[1][2]

Playing career[]

A two-time all-state selection at Helena High School, Sprinkle played college basketball at Montana State where he was Big Sky Freshman of the Year in 1996, and earned all-league honors in 1997. He graduated as the school's seventh all-time leading scorer.[2][3]

Coaching career[]

Sprinkle's first coaching job came as an assistant at Cal State Northridge in 2000.[4] He stayed there for six seasons before returning to his alma mater for a two-year stint as an assistant coach before returning to Northridge, where he stayed from 2008 to 2013. Sprinkle would join Dedrique Taylor's staff at Cal State Fullerton in 2013, and was part of the Titans' 2018 NCAA Tournament squad.[5]

On April 4, 2019 Sprinkle was selected as the 23rd head men's basketball coach at Montana State, replacing Brian Fish.[2][6]
