Dead Posey is an American rock duo founded in Los Angeles, California by singer/producer Danyell Souza and guitarist/multi-instrumentalist/producer Tony Fagenson.[1]

The duo has released three EP's via Sumerian Records[2]/Position Music [3]- Freak Show,[4] Malfunction[5] & Malfunction X Broken Down[6] and has played notable festivals Louder Than Life,[7] Aftershock[8] and [9] as well as toured with bands such as Theory of a Deadman,[10] Palaye Royale, Bones UK,[11] Through Fire, & Saul.[12]

Dead Posey's music has been featured in television shows such as Syfy's Wynonna Earp,[13] Fox's Lucifer, MTV's Teen Wolf, Marvel's Cloak & Dagger, Netflix's Jack Whitehall: Travels With My Father,[14] and Amazon's The Grand Tour, as well as in ads for Taco Bell, Sony PlayStation, Riot Games’ League of Legends.[15] In 2019 their song "Don't Stop The Devil" was the theme song for WWE's Elimination Chamber.[16] The duo's song "Parasite" from the Malfunction EP made the 68 Best Rock Songs of 2020[17] by Loudwire. Dead Posey has received positive write ups from the likes of Spin,[18] Guitar World[19] and has collaborated with Hot Topic on their "I Like Scary Movies Experience" feature.[20] They have also appeared on podcasts such as The Boo Crew[21] and The Fred Minnick Show.[22]

Influences[]

The band has cited Garbage, Nine Inch Nails, The Kills, Nirvana, Hole, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, Rob Zombie and PJ Harvey as musical influences[15] and David Lynch, Edgar Allan Poe and Salvador Dalí as artistic influences.[23]
