Derek Emmanuel Adjei Agyakwa (born 19 December 2001) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a defender for Watford. Besides the Netherlands, he has played in England and Italy.[2]
Career[]
Having left Twente in the summer of 2019, Agyakwa joined Watford in January 2020 on an initial six-month contract.[3] In June, his contract was extended by a year.[4] On 16 September 2020, Agyakwa made his professional debut, playing the first half in Watford's EFL Cup victory over Oxford United.[5]
On 5 October 2020, Agyakwa signed a new two-year contract with Watford and was loaned out to Italian Serie C side Como for the 2020/21 season.[6] He played his first match for Como on 20 October in a 3–2 win against Lucchese.[7] In January 2021, it was mutually agreed for Agyakwa to return to Watford.[8]
