El Porvenir (The Future) is the oldest newspaper published in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. The newspaper was founded in January 1919 by don Jesús Cantú Leal and Ricardo Arenales. [1] The newspaper's CEO is José Gerardo Cantú Escalante. [2]
