Emerson Leopoldo Véliz Cartagena (born August 13, 1982 in San Salvador, El Salvador) is a Salvadoran professional football player.[5]

Club career[]

Véliz came through the Alianza youth ranks and reserve team, before joining Salvadoran Second Division side Platense in 2001.

He would make his premier league debut a year later, when he signed for Luis Ángel Firpo with whom he would stay for nine years except for one season at Chalatenango.[6] He also played for Luis Ángel Firpo in the 2008–09 CONCACAF Champions League.[7]

In 2010, he moved to Atlético Marte, before joining to FAS ahead of the 2011 Apertura season.
