"Encore" (アンコール, Ankōru) is a song recorded by Japanese music duo Yoasobi. It was released on January 6, 2021, as a promotional single for their first extended play The Book, through Sony Music Entertainment Japan under the name Yoasobi. Later, the song was released as a stand-alone single on July 2,[1] the same day with the tenth single "Sangenshoku" and "Into the Night", the English version of "Yoru ni Kakeru"[2]
The song was based on the short story Sekai no Owari to, Sayonara no Uta (世界の終わりと、さよならのうた, "End of the World, and the Song of Good-bye") by Kamina Minakami, which won the Yoasobi Contest Vol. 1, and also used for advertisement Google Pixel 5, Pixel 4a (5G).[3]
