Evencio Castellanos Yumar (May 3, 1915 – March 16, 1984), was a Venezuelan pianist and classical musician.

Biography[]

From 1938 to 1944 Castellanos studied at the Superior School of Music of Caracas.[1] In 1947 he went to New York City on a two-year scholarship studying piano with Carlos Buhler.[1] He held various teaching positions in Caracas and founded the Collegium Musicum de Caracas, a Venezuelan musical group.[1] Alba Quintanilla was among his pupils.[2]
