Everybody, Sing! is a Philippine musical game show[1][10] created, developed, produced and distributed by ABS-CBN Entertainment.[10] The Philippine game show aired from June 5 to October 10, 2021[1][6][11] on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z,[12][13] replacing the third season of Your Face Sounds Familiar.[14][a] The game show is hosted by Vice Ganda.[12][13][15] The game show features several community groups, which consists of 25 individuals each,[c] where they are asked to complete a line of a song in order for them to receive cash prizes, and a chance to share a winning jackpot of 500,000.[11][17][18][15]

The production of the game show originally started in early-2020, and was set to premiere on March 15, 2020 on ABS-CBN, replacing Gandang Gabi, Vice![7][19][20] however, Vice Ganda, the host for the said game show, revealed in Piling Lucky, a segment of It's Showtime, that the production of the game show is postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, and that the premiere of the game show on March 15 is cancelled.[8][21] Reruns of Gandang Gabi, Vice! temporarily filled in the network's programming until the network's shutdown on May 5, 2020, due to the cease-and-desist order by the National Telecommunications Commission, after the network's legislative franchise have lapsed.[22][23]

The game show is also available in global subscription television network, The Filipino Channel, and in online-streaming platforms, Kapamilya Online Live and iWantTFC.[1][13][15]

On September 25, 2021, the "100 Songbayanan Special" aired for 3 consecutive weeks, while celebrating its season finale. The episodes shown were taped before the pandemic and the ABS-CBN shutdown and legislative franchise denial. The original concept of the game were 5 games, with 2 rounds of each game played by different groups. Each correct lyric gives ₱1,000 to a contestant who sings his/her assigned line correctly. And in the final round, the Songbayanan will name 10 song titles using their collected time from the preliminary rounds. ₱100,000 is given to the group per correct song, and when all 10 songs are guessed, they will take home and divide equally the jackpot prize of ₱2,000,000.

Gameplay[]

Before the show was pre-empted, there can be 100 individuals in a community group, and a community group can win as much as 2,000,000, to be shared by everyone.[16] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines and ABS-CBN's franchise renewal controversy, numerous changes were implemented.

A community group consisting of 25 individuals (usually with ages ranging from 18-59), dubbed as the "Songbayanan," will be divided equally into five rows,[c] whose each row is referred to as "SingKo" (transl. I sing, lit.'five'). Each round, one row will be chosen by the "ChooSera" to play a particular game (includes "The ChooSing One, "Sing In The Blank," "ReverSing," "PicSing a Broken Song," "EngliSing ang Lyrics," "TagaliSing", and "LipSing"). Each game has a different set of mechanics; however, they have the same goal, each contestant has two guesses to complete a line of a song, they will receive 1,000 for each correct guess, and the community group gets an additional 2–4 seconds to the Jackpot round's timer, the more correct guesses, the more chances of winning the Jackpot prize. The community group will then get to participate in the Jackpot round ("Everybody GuesSing"), wherein the community group will be naming each song that is being played. If they name all 10 songs, they can share the winning jackpot of 500,000.[17][18][24]

The ChooSing One[]

(25 Players) The resident band will start playing the song. From time to time, the "SingKo" player will be given 2 choices that can be used to complete a line of the song, one is correct while the other is incorrect. They must choose the correct option to complete the line of the song in order to receive 1,000, and an additional 2 seconds to the Jackpot round's timer. If failed to choose the correct option, the line will be skipped, and the next "SingKo" player will have to guess the next line. This will continue until each "SingKo" player have used their 2 guesses.[25]

From time to time, the "SingKo" player must complete the line of the song in order to receive 1,000, and an additional 2 seconds to the Jackpot round's timer. If failed to complete the line of the song, the line will be skipped, and the next "SingKo" player will have to guess the next line. This will continue until each "SingKo" player have used their 2 guesses.[26]

ReverSing[]

The band will be singing the missing lyrics in reverse as a clue. The "SingKo" player must complete the line of the song in order to receive 1,000, and an additional 4 seconds to the Jackpot round's timer. If failed to complete the line of the song, the line will be skipped, and the next "SingKo" player will have to guess the next line. This will continue until each "SingKo" player have used their 2 guesses.[27]

(25 Players) The resident band will start playing the song. From time to time, the "SingKo" player will be given picture clues that describes the missing lyric of the song. The "SingKo" player must complete the line of the song in order to receive 1,000, and an additional 2 seconds to the Jackpot round's timer. If failed to complete the line of the song, the line will be forbidden, and the next "SingKo" player will have to guess the next line. This will continue until each "SingKo" player have used their 2 guesses.[26]

EngliSing ang Lyrics[]

(25 Players) The resident band will start playing the song. From time to time, the "SingKo" player must guess the missing lyric of the line of the song. The band will be singing the missing lyrics in Tagalog as a clue. The "SingKo" player must complete the line of the song in order to receive 1,000, and an additional 2 seconds to the Jackpot round's timer. If failed to complete the line of the song, the line will be skipped, and the next "SingKo" player will have to guess the next line. This will continue until each "SingKo" player have used their 2 guesses.[28]

TagaliSing[]

(25 Players) First introduced in the game show's 7th episode, this is the opposite of the game show's "EngliSing ang Lyrics" segment. From time to time, the "SingKo" player must guess the missing lyric of the line of the song. The band will be singing the missing lyrics in English as a clue. The "SingKo" player must complete the line of the song in order to receive 1,000, and an additional 2 seconds to the Jackpot round's timer. If failed to complete the song, the line will be skipped, and the next "SingKo" player will have to guess the next line. This will continue until each "SingKo" player have used their 2 guesses.[29]

From time to time, the "SingKo" player will be given a video of a lip speaking without sounds that describes two missing lyrics of the song. The "SingKo" player must complete the line of the song in order to receive 1,000, and an additional 4 seconds to the Jackpot round's timer. If failed to complete the line of the song, the line will be skipped, and the next "SingKo" player will have to guess the next line. This will continue until each "SingKo" player have used their 2 guesses.

(25 Players) The Songbayanan will get to participate in the Jackpot round, which they will name the songs that will play in the background. The community group can now use the Jackpot seconds that they have saved during the 5 preliminary rounds. Each contestant has only one guess. If used, they can no longer press their respective buzzer. The community group will listen to the song playing in the background. To answer, they can press their individual buzzers, and 5,000 will be rewarded to the community group for each correct guess. The timer will start once the band starts playing the song, and the timer will temporarily stop once one contestant of the Songbayanan has pressed their respective buzzer to name the song. The community group must name all 10 songs in order to share the jackpot prize of 500,000. If there are remaining time left, they can go ahead and guess the remaining unnamed songs on the board until their time has ran out.[30]

(100 Players) Once all of the players have played on the ten games during the preliminary rounds, the "Songbayanan" will move on to "Everybody GuessSing". The group will have to guess ten songs that is played by the band in the background within their given time limit. Every correct answer given by the Songbayanan is worth ₱100,000. Once all of the 10 songs are guessed correctly by the Songbayanan, they will take home and divide equally the jackpot prize of ₱2,000,000.
