FBI: International is an American crime television series that debuted on CBS during the 2021–22 television season. It is the second spin-off from Dick Wolf's drama FBI and the third series in the FBI franchise. The series premiered on September 21, 2021. In October 2021, the series was given a full season order.
Premise[]
The series follows the elite operatives in the FBI's International Fly Team which is headquartered in Budapest.[1][2] They are charged with locating and neutralizing threats against American interests, wherever they may be. The team includes Scott Forrester, the team leader who’s a tough and hard-core FBI agent; Jamie Kellett, a career FBI agent and the second in command of the team; Andre Raines, a young but very smart FBI agent who is an expert in accounting; and Cameron Vo, the newest member on the team and was formerly with a field agent in the Seattle FBI office and she is also an interrogation expert. They are assisted by Katrin Jaeger, a veteran Europol agent who deals with the political side for the team.

- Vinessa Vidotto as Cameron Vo. An FBI Special Agent, she is a West Point grad who is the team's newest member.[3]
- Christiane Paul as Katrin Jaeger. A multilingual Europol agent who acts as a liaison for the team.[3]
- Green as Tank. A black Giant Schnauzer trained in Schutzhund and retired cadaver dog that obeys Scott Forrester's commands.[3]

Development[]
On January 12, 2020, it was reported that Dick Wolf was having conversations with CBS about launching a second FBI spin-off, following the success of the first spin-off, FBI: Most Wanted, with Wolf saying that he had always envisioned FBI as a franchise and that it offers an "endless trove of stories" and CBS Entertainment President Kelly Kahl saying "We are always talking to Dick [Wolf] and Dick is always bouncing ideas off of us and I can't rule anything out." It was also reported that they would likely start development on it during the 2020–21 television season.[4][5] On February 18, 2021, it was announced that a second FBI spin-off was in development for the 2021–22 television season and would be titled FBI: International. Derek Haas was announced to be series' showrunner, who would also serve as an executive producer alongside Wolf, Peter Jankowski, and Arthur Forney, with the series also likely to begin with a backdoor pilot.[6] On March 24, 2021, CBS ordered the series for the 2021–22 television season. It was also announced that the series would debut in a crossover episode of FBI and FBI: Most Wanted, with Rick Eid also being added as an executive producer.[7] The series premiered on September 21, 2021.[8] On October 11, 2021, CBS gave the series a full season order.[9]
