The FIBA Africa U16 Championship for Women is an under-16 basketball championship in the International Basketball Federation's FIBA Africa zone. The event started in 1998[citation needed] and is held bi-annually since 2009. The winners compete in the FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup.
