Personnel[]
The drums featured in the song were played by Nickelback's original drummer, Brandon Kroeger.
Music video[]
"Fly" was featured in the 1997 Canadian independent film Horsey, and clips from the film were intercut with footage of the band performing to produce Nickelback's first music video. The clips with Nickelback were filmed in a studio out at the Justice Institute of British Columbia. Much Music was the only channel to show the music video upon initial release. The music video was released on July 13, 1996 and featured drummer Mitch Guindon.
