Three-Sided Coin is Nickelback's first compilation album, being a rare Japan exclusive release by Roadrunner International. Released on June 11, 2002, it contains songs from Nickelback's first three studio albums: Curb (1996), The State (1998), and Silver Side Up (2001), plus the song "Yanking Out My Heart", which was recorded during the Silver Side Up recording sessions but not included on the album. "Yanking Out My Heart" was previously included on The Scorpion King soundtrack earlier in March 2002. The song later appeared on the special edition of The Long Road[1] in 2003.
