The football tournament at the 2001 Maccabiah Games was played in Israel between 15 and 22 July.

The men's tournament was won by Argentina, who had beaten Mexico in the finals 2–1.

As well as a senior tournament, tournaments were held for junior boys (won by Israel), masters (won by Argentina) and junior girls (as a demonstration event).[1]
