From is an upcoming American science fiction-horror television series created and written by John Griffin and executive produced by the Russo brothers. The series is set to premiere on Epix in 2022.
Premise[]
In a nightmarish town in middle America that traps everyone who enters, unwilling residents fight to stay alive and search for a way out. But they are plagued by the threats of the surrounding forest including terrifying nocturnal creatures.

Development[]
On June 7, 2018, it was announced that the project was in development at YouTube Red as part of an overall deal between production companies Midnight Radio and the Russo brothers' AGBO, with John Griffin set to write and create the series.[1] On April 12, 2021, it was announced that the series had moved to Epix after YouTube Premium moved into unscripted programming. The project was given a series order consisting of 10 episodes set to premiere in 2022, with Jack Bender set to direct the first four episodes.[2]
Casting[]
In May 2021, Harold Perrineau, Eion Bailey, and Catalina Sandino Moreno were cast in lead roles.[3][4][5] In July 2021, Shaun Majumder, Elizabeth Saunders, Avery Konrad, Hannah Cheramy, Ricky He, Simon Webster, Chloe Van Landschoot, and Pegah Gahfoori were added to the cast.[6][7]
Filming[]
The series began filming in the last week of May 2021 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Filming took place around Beaver Bank and Sackville River, situated in the suburban community of Lower Sackville.[8][9]
Release[]
Outside of the United States, the series will be exclusively distributed by Netflix as an original series.[2]
