Description[]
Species in this family are homoxenous.

Spores - not described
Both and trophozoites are septate. The gamonts are morphologically different (anisogamous).
Sexual reproduction involves a cephalocaudal association. During syzygy the nucleus and entrocyte of the satellite move to the where they fuse.
