Galesburg City Township is one of twenty-one townships in Knox County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 32,195 and it contained 14,280 housing units.[2] It is coextensive with the city of Galesburg, which is mostly surrounded by Galesburg Township.[3]

In the 2001 fiscal year, the township employed eighteen individuals and operated with expenditures of $849,752.[4]

Geography[]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 17.93 square miles (46.4 km2), of which 17.75 square miles (46.0 km2) (or 99.00%) is land and 0.18 square miles (0.47 km2) (or 1.00%) is water.[2]
