Ganbare Dōki-chan[a] (Japanese: がんばれ同期ちゃん, transl. "Do Your Best, Douki-chan") is a collection of illustrations by Japanese artist Yomu. The doujinshi manga began serialization online via Yomu's Twitter account in September 2019. Five volumes have been released as of August 2021. A short-form 12 episode original net animation (ONA) adaptation by AtelierPontdarc was released from September to December 2021.
Synopsis[]
The story follows Dōki-chan, an office lady who works with Dōki-kun. Unbeknownst to Dōki-kun, Dōki-chan secretly has feelings for him. As Dōki-chan struggles to confess her feelings, her rivals, both the kōhai and senpai, continue to vie for his affection.

- Dōki-chan (同期ちゃん)
- Voiced by: Nene Hieda[3]
- An office worker at a Tokyo-based company. She is serious and good at her job and is a promising prospect within the company. However, she is inexperienced when it comes to romance and is unsure of how to approach the man she has feelings for.
- Kōhai-chan (後輩ちゃん)
- Voiced by: Sumire Uesaka[3]
- A girl with a soft vibe who is always smiling. She is a junior in the same department as her peers. She has something huge and powerful that attracts men, and many male employees are after her.
- Senpai-san (先輩さん)
- Voiced by: Asami Seto[3]
- A woman with a mature female aura. She was Dōki-kun's senior in college and is currently an employee of a business partner. She is a free-spirited type and likes to drink.
- Dōki-kun (同期くん)
- Voiced by: Junya Enoki[3]
- The coworker of Dōki-chan and Kōhai-chan who has romantic intentions towards Doki-chan.

Original net animation[]
An original net animation (ONA) adaptation was announced on August 14, 2021.[4][5] The series is produced by AtelierPontdarc, directed and storyboarded by Kazuomi Koga, with Yoshiko Nakamura writing the series' scripts, Yuki Morikawa designing the characters, and Ryōsuke Naya serving as the sound director. It was released on the Abema service from September 20 to December 6, 2021.[3] Crunchyroll licensed the series outside of Asia.[6] Muse Communication licensed the series in South and Southeast Asia.[7]

| Dōki-kun accompanies Dōki-chan to a wedding, and at the end of the ceremony Dōki-chan catches the bridal bouquet. She gives it to a young girl but keeps a petal for herself. Much later at the wedding reception, Kōhai-chan has too much to drink and asks Dōki-kun to take her home, but she is inundated by offers from other men. As Dōki-chan she prepares to leave, she gets lost in the building and is accosted by drunk men from the wedding party. Meanwhile Dōki-kun is looking for Douki-Kun and finds the petal she dropped earlier. | |||
