Ghadhasaru Lake or Gadasru Mahadev(Hindi: गदास्रू महादेव) (also spelled as Gandasaru Lake, Gadasaru Lake (Hindi: गडासरू झील) and also known as Gadasru Mahadev Lake [1] [2]) is a high altitude lake which is located near Devikothi village of Teesa in the Churah tehsil[1] of Chamba (24 km. from , also known as ). It is about 3,470 m above the sea level at the base of a mountain Gadasaru Peak.[3] This lake is held sacred[by whom?] and has a circumference of about 1 km.

History[]

Near the lake there is a small temple of Goddess Kali. [4] Nearby Mahakali Lake is considered sacred to Goddess Mahakali.
