Gong Min-jeung (born Kim Min-jung on 30 September 1986)[1][2] is a South Korean actress. She is alumni of Konkuk University, Film Department. She passed her bachelor's degree in film art from there.[3] She made her acting debut in 2011, since then, she has appeared in number of films and television series, including Green Fever (2017), Familiar Wife (2018), and Sweet Munchies (2020).[4]

In 2020, she has Fantastic Best Actor Special Mention award in the 24th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival for Zombie Crush :Heyri.[5][6] She is appearing in rom-com TV series Please Don't Date Him, airing from 10 November 2020.[7]

Career[]

Gong Min-jeung made her acting debut in 2011. From 2011 to 2015 she appeared in number of films in supporting roles.[8]

In 2017, she appeared in three TV dramas; Temperature of Love, My Golden Life and Green Fever.[citation needed]

In 2018, she appeared in TV drama Familiar Wife as well as films The Vanished and Grass. The later was premiered at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival on 16 February 2018.[9][10] The film was also screened in the "Korean Cinema Today – Panorama" program of the 23rd Busan International Film Festival.[11]

In 2019, she appeared as Kim Eun-young in the much talked about women centric film Kim Ji-young: Born 1982. The film based on the novel of the same name, won many accolades[12] in addition to reaching 3.7 million total admissions and grossing US$27.16 million in revenue, thus becoming a commercial success.[13]

In 2020, she appeared in film Zombie Crush: Heyri as Gong Jin-seon, for this role she got Fantastic Best Actor Special Mention award in the 24th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. The same year she appeared in TV series Sweet Munchies and in TV series Please Don't Date Him, aired in November 2020.[7]

In 2021, she is cast in TV series Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, a remake of 2004 South Korean film Mr. Handy, Mr. Hong..[14]
