Govenia floridana, the tropical govenia, is a very rare species of orchid endemic to Everglades National Park in Florida. It was noted for the first time in 1957, and not found again until 1990.[1][2]

Govenia floridana grows up to 50 cm (19.5 in) tall. It has only 2 leaves, each with a sheath 3–30 cm (1–12 in) long and an elliptical blade up to 35 cm (14 in) long. Flowers are white with purple spots.[2]
