Great King Munwon (Korean: 문원대왕; Hanja: 文元大王), personal name Wang Jeong (Korean: 왕정; Hanja: 王貞) was a Korean Royal Prince as the fourth son of Taejo of Goryeo and Queen Sinmyeongsunseong.[3] He was the first younger brother of Wang Tae, Jeongjong of Goryeo and Gwangjong of Goryeo, also the father in-law of Gyeongjong of Goryeo who was his nephew.[3]
He later married with his half older sister, Queen Munhye (문혜왕후) and had 2 sons, Prince Cheonchujeon (천추전군) and Prince Aji (아지군),[3] and 1 daughter, Queen Heonui (헌의왕후) whom later married and become the second wife of Gyeongjong of Goryeo, who was his nephew. It was unknown why Wang-Jeong was posthumously honoured as a King because there were no records left about this.[citation needed]
