Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh[2] is a former Deputy Chief of Indian Army who is currently serving as the Governor of Uttrakhand.

[3][4] The oath of office was administered to Singh by the Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court, Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan at the Raj Bhavan in Dehradun.[5]
