HD 201298 (HR 8090) is a star located in the northern constellation of Equuleus just next to 3 Equulei With an apparent magnitude of 6.14, it's barely visible to the naked eye. HD 201298 is currently located 1,260 light years away from the Solar System based on parallax, but is drifting away with a radial velocity of 18,22 km/s.
Properties[]
This is an aging M-type star with a classification of M0III. It has expanded to 80.78 times the Sun's girth, and radiates at 1,424 solar luminosities. With an effective temperature of 3,945 K, HD 201298 has a red-hue when viewed in the night sky.
