HD 203473 is a star in the constellation Equuleus. With an apparent magnitude of 8.23, it’s only visible by using an amateur telescope. The star is located 237 light-years (73 pc) away based on parallax, but is drifting closer with a radial velocity of -61.85 km/s. As of 2014, no stellar companions have been detected around the star.[6]
Properties[]
HD 203473 is a G-type main-sequence star with 82% the mass of the Sun, and 48% larger than the Sun. It radiates at double the Sun’s luminosity, and has a yellow hue, which corresponds to a temperature of 5,847 K. HD 203473 rotates slower than most stars, and is metal-rich.
Planetary System[]
In 2018, the N2K survey discovered a planet orbiting the star via Doppler spectroscopy. Since the planet was discovered that way, It’s inclination and true mass is unknown.[7]
