Haldia Institute of Dental Sciences and Research (HIDSAR) is a private dental college located in Haldia, in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is recognized by Dental Council of India. It offers Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses.

Haldia Institute of Dental Sciences and Research conducts an undergraduate program of four years followed by one year of internship which leads to a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree and the postgraduate program of three years leads to a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree. Admission[]
The institution enrolls undergraduates on the basis of their NEET UG scores and admits postgraduates on the basis of their scores in the NEET MDS conducted by NBE (National Board of Examination) held annually.

Pre-clinical prosthetics & dental material lab
A well-equipped state-of-the-art laboratory that takes care of the individual student.Individual workstation with cabinet drawers, gas, centralized compressed air, rotary instruments.
Lecture hall
Spacious and comfortable individual sitting arrangement in the gallery pattern for 120 students with ultramodern audio-visual equipment.
OPD cinics
All chairs are electronically controlled and each of them is imported from Germany(KAVO). We have a total of 100 Dental chairs(according to DCI recommendation for 2nd BDS Course)placed in four clinics of 2,500sq. ft. each. On average, we treat more than 100 patients per day and the numbers are swelling every day. We give primary importance to health and hygiene not only for each patient but also for all the doctors, the nursing staff, and the chairside assistants too. For this reason, we autoclave every single instrument and thus we imported a total of 3 fully automated autoclaves running round the clock. The equality of asepsis and sterilization can match up easily with the international standers and are most stringent in nature. Other facilities available are:

- OPG machine
- Latest equipment and materials
The OPG machine is the only such available to patients both in East and West Midnapore. The Clinics are totally equipped and the doctors and staffs are on their toes and ready to tackle any emergency that might arise during the treatment of any patient. Emergency drugs, Oxygen cylinders, high-volume suction machines etc are kept ready for every patient who comes for treatment. Not only we are equipped with an adequate number of modern equipment, but also we have developed uniques sets of logistics of instrument delivery & customized treatment for every kind of dental patient.
Minor OT
This is totally excluded from the OPD clinics. This is a state-of-the-art minor OT catering to those patients who require small-scale surgeries that can be done under local anesthesia, complete with changing rooms, toilets, and scrub rooms. This setup can be comparable with any such minor OT in modern hospitals.
Ceramic lab
This is the jewel in the crown. This section is a total 32-piece ceramic laboratory, unique in nature in that all equipment is procured from Manfredi Italy. The Induction-casting machine is the most modern one available in the World and is one of our such available in WestBengal. We can boast to have acquired the only fully automatic induction-casting machine in Bengal. Last but not the least, there is an endless number of equipment and instruments in the queue being imported for the ceramo-metallic lab.[3]
Central Library[]
The Institute has a library that is awe inspiring. There is a separate Central library having about 8000 sq. ft. area with 4567 books, 71 Indian and foreign journals (with 10 years back volumes), EBSCO online Journals (250), about 400 free full text medical E-journals, 386 educational CDs, and class lecture for backup learning. There is also an automated digital library with Integrated Library Management Software(LIBSYS) which adds another feather to the institute cap.[4]

Attached Medical College & Hospital[]
The ICARE Institute of Medical Sciences and Research & B. C. Roy Hospital (IIMSAR & BCRH) attached to our Dental College is situated in the same campus in Banbishnupur, Balughata, Haldia, set in the serene 25-acre campus with college building having an area of about 1,00,000 sq feet and a 500 bedded multispeciality hospital named Dr. B. C. Roy hospital.
The pre and paraclinical medical subjects, as well as clinical medical subjects for the BDS students, are taught in this medical college and hospital.
The ICARE Institute of Medical Sciences and Research & B. C. Roy Hospital (IIMSAR & BCRH) is approved by the Medical Council of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India and is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences.
Hostel[]
Modern hostels within the campus, both for the boys (subject to availability) and for all the girls student separately. The college takes care of comfortable stay during the student’s learning days. Common rooms with TV and indoor game facilities are available each hostel.Each hostel is protected by private security personnel round o’clock
