Music video[]
On March 24, 2008, Machine Head announced on their official website that they are filming a video for "Halo", asking local Bay Area fans (and fans from around the globe) to be extras in the video. The video was released on May 31, 2008, premiering on MTV2's Headbangers Ball. It features bassist Adam Duce's father as the evil figure. The edited version as heard on the video is much shorter than the original as heard on The Blackening, cut down from 9:04 to 5:11. Frontman Robb Flynn cited Metallica as the inspiration for the video.
