Heo Hoon (born 16 August 1995) is a South Korean professional basketball player.[1] He currently plays for Suwon KT Sonicboom in the Korean Basketball League.[2]

Career[]

Heo was drafted by Busan KT Sonicboom in 2017 as their first pick in the first round.[3] He made his debut in the professional league on 7 November 2017 against Seoul SK Knights, with 15 points, 7 assists and 2 rebounds recorded in 23 minutes.[citation needed]

Heo represented South Korea at the 2012 FIBA Under-17 World Championship, where he averaged 17.7 points, 2 rebounds and 2.9 assists.[4] Heo also participated at the 2013 FIBA Under-19 World Championship, where he averaged 12.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists.[5]

Senior team[]

Heo participated in the qualifiers for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup in China.[6] At the final tournament, he averaged 4.2 points, 0.4 rebounds and 0.8 assist.[1][7]

Personal life[]

Heo graduated from Yonsei University.[8] His older brother, Heo Ung is a professional basketball player for the Wonju DB Promy. His father Hur Jae is a former head coach of the South Korean national team.[9]
