Hitler Didi (English: literally Hitler Sister but figuratively Auntie Hitler) was a daily Indian soap opera that aired on Zee TV. It premiered on 7 November 2011. The story is located in the backdrop of Delhi.

The title of the show has been called "disturbing" by the Anti-Defamation League.[1] In North America and Europe, the show is known as General Didi.

Overview[]

The story revolves around a young girl Indira, played by Rati Pandey, who is the sole bread winner in her family. She meets a boy, Rishi, played by Sumit Vats, and falls in love with him. They both marry after facing so many obstacles. Just when they are both happy , an unfortunate thing takes place between them. Indira got diagonased with Brain tumor due to what she had and has 28 days to survive. So she tried her best to make her family members settle within her less span of time. She also fulfilled her remaining wishes within those days. While letting Rishi marry Shweta, her tumor bursted. Then it was revealed she was pregnant as Shweta hid Indira's pregnancy from everyone under the scolding of Rishi's mother. To repent her this mistake she decided to be a surrogate mother of Indira's child. After a few months she gave birth to Indira's child. Ishaan named the baby child 'Indu' .

8 Years Later[]

It's been 8 years leap. Indira is shown to have died. Things have changed in Chandni Chowk and Sharma Niwas turned into Sharm Niwas and Indira’s Father has a forgetting habit.Munna’s wife Sunaina ran away from home with the lottery amount won by Indira 8 years ago. Sunaina's daughter Seher and Indira’s daughter Indu are just like their mothers and Indu calls her father by his name. Indira‘s Doppelgänger Zara Malik Khan A Police Inspector from Mumbai and Munna falls in love with Savita and marries her but reveals the truth to Savita that Indu’s mother is Indira and Indu‘s mother lies to her and she leaves home. Indira comes back but Sunaina returned as guru maa and Zaara Kidnaps Indira, kills Savita and hides her body in bricks but Rishi saves Indira from Zara And Zara has been sent to mental asylum. As Rishi and Indira are united, Indira remembers her days spent in Pakistan and was asking for Saheb. Saheb named her Husna unaware about her. Sharma Niwas was tangled up about which Saheb was Indira/Husna talking about. So Rishi and Indu set out to search for Saheb via their email conversation. One day Saheb arrived at Chandni Chowk for Indira/ Husna with his and Noor's daughter Bubbly after many obstacles put by Noor (Saheb's first wife) and her father with the help of Rishi and Indu. Saheb, Husna, Bubbly got reunited leaving Rishi broken. While leaving for Lahore Saheb learned the truth of Husna being actually Indira and he left with Bubbly and Indira regained her memory and reunited with Rishi, Indu and the Sharmas. Rishi , Indira and Indu shifted to Chandela's house at Haryana. Zara ran away from mental asylum and disguise herself as Indira at Chandela's house. Then she Zaara disguised as Indira in the Sharma Niwas. Meher is treating Sunaina and Seher badly and Indira’s mother teaches a lesson to Meher and Rishi. Indu escapes and Indira gave birth to a baby boy child. At the end Indu settles every Sharma men in their professions.
