Holthees is a very small village in the former municipality of Boxmeer on the border of the Dutch provinces North Brabant and Limburg. It has 455 inhabitants (2011) and 185 houses (2011). Since 2022 it has been part of the new municipality of Land van Cuijk.

The name Holthees was mentioned for the first time in 1359. It is a composition of the German words hulta (wood) and hees (forest of thicket) The town was founded around a chapel; the Mariakapel. The chapel which now stands in the center of the village dates back from the 16th century. Holthees used to provide military support during the defense of the Land of Cuijk

Holthees forms a small community with , a hamlet in the municipality of Venray in the province of Limburg.
