Ice Lake Rebels is a reality TV show about houseboat dwellers in Great Slave Lake.[1]

A main character is Stephan Hervieux, part owner of the Kimberlite houseboat, husband to Allyce and father to Dora.[2]

It aired on Animal Planet[3] for two seasons, 2014 to 2016.[4] The show was produced by Critical Content of Los Angeles,[5] and aired on Animal Planet.[6] The producer was Kathryn Haydn Hays.[7]

Critics from The New York Times and the Boston Herald mainly commented on the difficult conditions depicted in the show, praising the characters' determination but not much else.[8][according to whom?]

It was filmed about 15 minutes by car[9] from the nearest Walmart, in Yellowknife, a city of about 21,000.[10][relevant?]
