State Highway 72 (SH-72) is a 1.989-mile (3.201 km) state highway located entirely within Payette County, Idaho. The highway runs from U.S. Route 30 south of New Plymouth east to Idaho State Highway 52 in Hamilton Corner. SH-72 is maintained by the Idaho Transportation Department.

Route description[]

SH-72 begins at a three-way intersection with US 30 south of New Plymouth. From here, the highway heads east through a rural area north of the . After an intersection with Blaine Road, the route continues east toward the community of Hamilton Corner. In Hamilton Corner, SH-72 terminates at a junction with SH-52, which continues eastward.[1][2]

Future[]

State Highway 72 is closed through October 2017 for a bridge replacement and improvements to its junction with U.S. Highway 30 one mile south of New Plymouth. The roadway is scheduled to reopen in November 2017.[3]
