International representation of Donetsk and Luhansk

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) and the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) are two unrecognized quasi-states located in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine. Internationally, they are recognized as constituent regions of Ukraine as the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, respectively.[1] They proclaimed their independence after the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity of 2014 and the subsequent Russo-Ukrainian War, later on merging together as the short-lived confederation of Novorossiya, only to be dissolved in 2015. Today, they are only officially recognized by South Ossetia. Both entities have no embassies in any other state.
