Iosif Ioan Stibinger (also known as János Stibinger or János Barna; 24 September 1923 – 17 June 1949) was a Romanian football player who played as a striker at international level for Romania.[1][2]

Career[]

Stibinger played for only three teams in his career: Nagyváradi AC, Elektromos and ITA Arad. He died in the summer of 1949 aged 25 years. Despite his short career, Stibinger managed to win three national titles, one in Hungary with Nagyváradi AC and two in Romania with ITA Arad.[1][2] While playing for ITA Arad, on 7 March 1948, he and teammate Adalbert Kovács scored each a hat-trick in a 6–1 away victory against CSCA București, it was the first time that two players from the same team scored a hat-trick in a Divizia A match.[3]

International career[]

Between 1947 and 1948, he played twice for Romania against Yugoslavia and Albania, but did not score.[1][2]
