Jake Curhan (born February 9, 1998) is an American football offensive tackle for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at California and was signed by the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent following the 2021 NFL Draft.

Early life and education[]

Curhan was born on February 9, 1998.[1] He attended Redwood High School, starting on the offensive line for three seasons, from 2013–2015, even though 2013 was his first time playing the sport. He was a three-star recruit to University of California in 2016, spending his first year as a redshirt.[1] In his second year, Curhan was one of two players to start in all twelve games on offense, playing right tackle while earning Pac-12 All-Academic honors. Following a game against Ole Miss, he was named the team's player of the week.[1]

As a sophomore in 2018, Curhan started in all thirteen games, earning All-Academic honors for the second consecutive year. He also made two tackles on offensive turnovers. He started every game for the third straight year as a junior in 2019, earning All-Pac-12 honors from Phil Steele and Pro Football Focus. In a shortened 2020 season that included just four games, he made two starts and was given honorable mention All-Pac-12 from coaches.[1] Rather than play an additional season, Curhan declared for the NFL Draft.[1]

After going unselected in the 2021 NFL Draft, Curhan was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent. After impressing the team in back-to-back preseason starts,[3] he was given a spot with the team on the final 53-man roster.[4] He made his NFL debut in week one against the Indianapolis Colts, appearing on four snaps in the 28–16 win.[5]
