The first filming session took place for three days in Jackson, Louisiana, at Orwo Studios and on location. Soon after, the production was moved to the United Kingdom.[3] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, filming in the U.K. was split into two parts. The first began on November 23, 2020, at Black Hangar Studios, and finished on December 19.[4][5] The second took place for eight days between January and February 2021.[6][7][8] Reborn was officially announced on February 24, 2021, when it was reported that Screen Media Films had acquired the distribution rights to the film in the United States and Canada.[8] At the 2021 European Film Market, Foresight Unlimited showed a promotional reel of footage for international sales.[9]
