Jenin Camp (Arabic: مخيم جنين‎) is a Palestinian refugee camp north of the West Bank in the city of Jenin, was established in 1953 on 0.42 sq km. Jenin camp was also severely affected by the second intifada, when the Israeli Defense Forces occupied the camp in 2002 after Battle of Jenin. At least 400 homes were destroyed, with hundreds more being severely damaged. More than a quarter of the population was rendered homeless.[1][2][3][4]
