Joachim Wundrak

Joachim Wundrak is a German former Lieutenant general of Bundeswehr and politician (AfD). Since the 2021 German federal election Wundrak is member of Bundestag.

Joachim Wundrak had a career in the German airforce. His last position till 2018 was chef of air operation command (Zentrum Luftoperationen).[1]

Politic[]

In 2018 Wundrak became a member of the AfD. Before he was for several years a member of the CDU. In 2019 AfD Niedersachen nominated Wundrak for running of major of Hanover. At the election he got 4,6 percent.[2]

In the 2021 German federal election, Wundrak ran as a list candidate in Lower Saxony and got elected.[3]

Wundrak criticizes the corona rules of the German federal government. In January 2022, he declared that he had neither recovered nor been vaccinated. Therefore, he could not attend a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee (Auswertiger Ausschuss) in which the 2G regulation applies.[4]
