Johnson Glacier
Johnson Glacier ( WikiMiniAtlas
74°55′S 134°45′W / 74.917°S 134.750°W / -74.917; -134.750) is a glacier flowing north between the McDonald Heights and Bowyer Butte to merge with the Getz Ice Shelf on the coast of Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959–65, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for , Boatswain's Mate, U.S. Navy, a crew member of the USS Glacier (AGB-4) during exploration of this coast in the 1961–62 season.[1]
