Rubey Glacier
Rubey Glacier ( WikiMiniAtlas
75°11′S 137°7′W / 75.183°S 137.117°W / -75.183; -137.117) is a broad, heavily crevassed glacier flowing north to coalesce with the west side of Hull Glacier eastward of Mount Giles, near the coast of Marie Byrd Land. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959–65. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Captain , U.S. Navy, Commander of at McMurdo Station, summer 1969–70.[1]
