Jy Simpkin (born 5 March 1998) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by the North Melbourne Football Club with their first selection and twelfth overall in the 2016 national draft.[1] He made his debut in the forty-three point loss against West Coast in the opening round of the 2017 season at Etihad Stadium.[2]

Born in Mooroopna, Victoria, Simpkin is of Aboriginal and European descent. He completed his high school education at Scotch College, Melbourne, as part of an AIEF scholarship program.[3]
