Katrin Nolte (née Ziske) is a German-Russian right-wing activist. She is a spokesperson for Bundestag member Martin Hohmann of the Alternative for Germany ("AfD"). Nolte has appeared as a host at the right-wing magazine Compact YouTube channel.

Life[]

Katrin Ziske was born as the daughter of Russian-Germans. She studied Religious Studies at Goethe University in Frankfurt. She became a member of AfD and in 2017, she married the Hessian AfD politician Jan Nolte and took his name. On internet presentations, however, Nolte uses her name Ziske.[1][2]

Nolte is one of the prominent AfD politicians with German-Russian connection. She is active in the Russian-German community and in the environment of the "Interest Group of Russian-Germans in the AfD". She moderated the "AfD Russia Congress" 2017 in Magdeburg.[3]

She is a spokesperson for Bundestag member Martin Hohmann (AfD). Since 2015, Nolte is also presenting the YouTube magazine "Die Woche Compact" (the week in a nutshell) of compact magazine.[4][5][6]
