Kevin Michael Britt (November 19, 1944 – May 16, 2004) was an American Roman Catholic bishop.
Biography[]
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Britt was ordained to the priesthood on June 28, 1970, for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit. On November 23, 1993, Britt was appointed auxiliary bishop of the Detroit Archdiocese and consecrated on January 6, 1994, aged 49.
On December 10, 2002, Britt was appointed coadjutor bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids. On October 13, 2003, he was named as the tenth bishop of the Diocese of Grand Rapids.[1]
Death[]
Bishop Britt died suddenly in his sleep at age 59 on May 16, 2004, at his home in Grand Rapids.[2]
