Kevin Ware (born September 30, 1980) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers. He played college football at the University of Washington.

Legal history[]

Ware was arrested for evading arrest on June 27, 2010 in Houston.[1]

On April 19, 2021, Ware was stopped by Montgomery County Precinct 5 deputies in Magnolia, Texas for speeding 115 mph in a 70 mph zone. Officers searched Ware's vehicle and found multiple illegal substances including 14.26 grams of cocaine, 1.66 grams of methamphetamine, 60.3 grams of marijuana, and a Xanax pill. Officers also found two loaded firearms in the vehicle: a loaded AK-47 and a loaded 9mm pistol. Ware was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, a first-degree felony, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm as a Felon, a third-degree felony in the State of Texas.[2] Ware was released from jail on April 20, 2021 after posting a $23,000 bond.[3]

On June 11, 2021, Kevin Ware Jr. was arrested in Spring, Texas by US Marshalls and Harris County Sheriff's deputies for multiple bond violations and for questioning as a possible person of interest in the disappearance of his girlfriend, Taylor Pomaski, who went missing on April 26, 2021.[4][5][6]
