Khanpasha Nuradilovich Nuradilov (Russian: Ханпаша Нурадилович Нурадилов, Chechen: Хампаша Нурадилан-кIант Нурадилов; 6 July 1924 – 12 September 1942) was a Soviet machine gunner in the Red Army between 1940-1942. He is credited with killing an estimated 920 enemy soldiers with his PM M1910 machine gun, also captured 18 Nazi German soldiers alive and 9 latest german machine guns. That makes him the highest-scoring machine gunner of all time in the battle. His last battle was the defense of Stalingrad. His body was never found and people concluded that he had been killed (most likely bombed) by German bombers. [1] He was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union[2] for his last stand in the Battle of Stalingrad.[3]
