Klossia is a monotypic genus of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae.[1][2] The genus contains only one species, Klossia montana Ridl..[3]

It is native to Malaysia,[3] mainly on the Malay Peninsula.[4]

The genus name of Klossia is in honour of C. Boden Kloss (1877–1949), an English zoologist and was an expert on the mammals and birds of Southeast Asia.[5] The Latin specific epithet of montana means coming from the mountains.[6] Both genus and species were first described and published in J. Fed. Malay States Mus. Vol.4 on pages 27-28 in 1909.[3]

The genus was verified by the Agricultural Research Service of the United States Department of Agriculture on 17 September 1996, but they don't list any species.[7]
