Kyle Stanford (born 1970) is an American philosophy professor who specializes in the philosophy of science.

He earned his B.A. with Honors in Philosophy and Psychology from Northwestern University in 1991, and his M.A. and Ph. D. from University of California, San Diego in Philosophy, 1994, and Philosophy/Science Studies, 1997, respectively.[1]

His appointments include:

  • Visiting Professor of History and Philosophy of Science, University of Pittsburgh, Spring 2009
  • Associate Professor, Department of Logic and Philosophy of Science, UC Irvine, 2004–2008 & Fall 2009–Present
  • Assistant Professor, Department of Logic and Philosophy of Science, UC Irvine, 1998–2004
  • Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy, UC Irvine, 1997–2000
