Kyra LeMoyne Kennedy (born August 22, 1995) is an American socialite and model. A member of the Kennedy family, she is a granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Kennedy and a grand-niece of John F. Kennedy and Ted Kennedy.

Early life and family[]

Kyra Kennedy was born in Massachusetts in 1995.[1] She is a member of the Kennedy family. Kennedy is the daughter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his second wife, Mary Kathleen Richardson.[2] She is a granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Kennedy and a grand-niece of U.S. President John F. Kennedy and Senator Ted Kennedy. Her father filed for divorce from her mother on May 12, 2010. On May 16, 2012 her mother was found dead on the grounds of her Mount Kisco home, having committed suicide.[3][4] Her father was later remarried to actress Cheryl Hines.

Kennedy played basketball in high school.[5] In December 2013 she was presented to society at le Bal des Débutantes at the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris.[6][7][8] She danced the opening dance at le Bal des Débutantes with her father.[9][10][11]

She worked as an intern at Dior before going on to study fashion at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.[12][13]

Career[]

Kennedy made her modelling debut in 2016 when she walked the runway for Just Drew, a fashion label created by designer Andrew Warren, during New York Fashion Week.[14][15] Later that year she modeled in an editorial campaign for Just Drew shot by photographer Alana O'Herlihy.[12]

Personal life[]

Kennedy is associated with the "Snap Pack" and the "Rich Kids of Instagram," social groups of the children of wealthy or influential individuals that also include Andrew Warren, Tiffany Trump, EJ Johnson, Gaïa Jacquet-Matisse, Reya Benitez, Ezra J. William, and Peter Brant II.[15][16][17] In 2016, she was involved in a cyber-bullying incident against New York Magazine blogger Allie Jones and was reportedly banned from Instagram and Snapchat by her father.[18][19][20]
