The La Mamounia Hotel is a five-star hotel in Morocco. It faces the Atlas mountains and is at the heart of the old city of Marrakech.[1][2][3]

The hotel was built in 1929 by Henri Prost and Antoine Marchisio on the 15-hectare palace and garden sultan Mohammed ben Abdallah gave to his son Moulay Mamoun in the 18th century.[4]

The hotel was a filming location for Alfred Hitchcock's 1956 film The Man Who Knew Too Much, starring James Stewart and Doris Day.[5]
