Lagocephalus suezensis[1] is a species of pufferfish in the family Tetraodontidae. It is native to the Indian Ocean, and it has entered the Mediterranean Sea through the Suez Canal as an example of Lessepsian migration. It reaches 18 cm (7 inches) in total length and is known to be oviparous.[2] It is often confused with Lagocephalus sceleratus in Australia.[3]
