Khowar is the majority language of Chitral District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa district, Pakistan. Kalasha is the second language spoken in Ayun, Birir, Bumburet and Rumbur, Persian is also third language spoken in Garam Chashma valley by 2000 population and in valley and spoken small amount in Upper Chitral regions.[1]
There are 14 different languages spoken in Chitral including Balti, Burushaski, Dameli, , Dari, , Gawar-bati, Kalkoti, Kamviri, Kohistani, Khowar, Kygryz, Munji, Palula, Yidgha, Wakhi, Shina, Tajik, Torwali, Ushojo, Uzbek, Wakhi.[2][clarification needed]
